At the last Tiananmen Massacre Vigil in Hong Kong, before the security law becomes effective, people showed up for a new set of demands. The meaning of a vigil is to refresh some important memories so that they don't become dead histories.
At the vigil, I asked them if they could only preserve one memory/value so it lived in people's brains, be passed down to future generations, what would that be.
No organizer, no theme. That was the most beautiful Tiananmen Massacre Vigil. | The vibrance of "Hongkongness" in Gilbratar | Scene of myself sharing table with strangers in Hong Kong. |
